New England

♥ Rhode Island

We took 2 weeks and drove around New England. We actually started on Long Island and took the Port Jefferson ferry over to Rhode Island. The kids loved being on the ferry. Bring a jacket it does get windy. We rented a beach house in Rhode Island. We gave ourselves 7 days in Rhode Island and then traveled to Massachusetts. We spent 5 days exploring Boston and then headed to the Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, Massachusetts. We then headed to  New Hampshire for hiking and swimming for a few nights. We left New Hampshire and went straight to Cape Elizabeth Lighthouse in Maine Followed by visiting Connecticut last and back to Long Island.

Boston (Day 6-8)

Hands down Boston is one of our favorite City's we have visited. There is just so much education for our family to absorb. The cobble stone streets, food, baseball fanatics and history have something for everyone to love.

In Boston we decided to get tickets to Boston Hop-On Hop-Off Trolley Tour with 18 Stops. It was a great way to see the whole city, safely and with children. One of the biggest highlights was taking the kids to the reenactment of the Boston Tea Party where they got to throw tea off the boat.
We were told about a sandwich shop that game with 5 star reviews and it lived up to it's expectations. If you have time you must stop at Bricco Panetteria. Hands down the best sandwich!

After getting a bite to eat we checked out Paul Revere's House.

New Hampshire - White Mountains

* Mount Washington Auto Road
(It was closed so we were not able to visit but, still on our bucket list)

 Instead we stoped at Glen Ellis Falls Trail.
(It is 0.4 mile back trail near Gorham, New Hampshire. I was able to hike it with our 2 year old attached to me.)

Maine

During this trip Josh and I had planned sessions. We photographed one engagement session in Boston and had another scheduled for Maine. We picked Cape Elizabeth as a location.
